MORNING HOMEWORK HELP/TEST PREP: in Room 338 - All students who attend receive extra credit

EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENTS (Marking Period 2)

"A Trip to the Supermarket" Project (due Monday, December 22, 2010)

1. Draw a map of the store showing where magazines, candy, and general food items are placed in the store.
2. Identify which food items are placed on shelves at "kids' eye level". Which products are on the higher shelves? Do you notice any patterns?
3. Describe any store ads/displays promoting specific products. Would this be a product YOU would buy? Explain.
4. Go down the cereal aisle anda vote for the box of cereal that you consider most appealing and explain your rationale.
5. How prominent are generic products? Are they as appealing as the brand-name products? Explain.

This project may be handwritten or typed. It can be done as a regular report or as a PowerPoint presentation.
