What are your favorite genres?

A NEW FAVORITE SERIES: Elm Creek Quilt Novels

Anyone who likes novels about knitting or quilting or books with strong female characters, may like to look into the Elm Creek Quilts Novels by Jennifer Chiaverini. Although Ms. Chiaverini's books have elements of mystery and romance, her books can be categorized under mainstream, contemporary, or historical fiction.

I feel that they would be worthwhile for a look-see.

THE LOST GATE by: Orson Scott Card

If you enjoy reading fantasy novels with touches of mythology, you will enjoy reading Orson Scott Card's latest book, The Lost Gate.

Check out the book trailer for The Lost Gate as well as some of his other novels: http://www.goodreads.com/videos/list_author/589.Orson_Scott_Card

Book Recommendations

Ms. McNulty recommends...The Lost Recipe for Happiness by: Barbara O'Neal

-Elena Alvarez was the sole survivor in a horrific car accident as a teenager outside of Santa Fe over 20 years ago which left her badly scarred and haunted by her sister and boyfriend she lost in the crash. Elena, who always loved to cook, made her way through culinary school in Europe. She eventually ends up at an upscale Vancouver restaurant, where her passion and skills capture the attention of celebrity restaurateur Julian Liswood. He hires her as the executive chef of his new restaurant he is opening in Aspen, Colorado. But something is brewing between her and Julian. Will she let love in? Will the ghosts of her past finally rest? While you're reading to see, try out one of the wonderful southwestern recipes scattered throughout Ms. O'Neil's book.
